Welcome to Tunnl ("we", "our", or "us"). Tunnl is an exam-preparation app that provides maths tricks, MCQ practice sets, daily practice, previous-year questions and speed tests ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Tunnl app or website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1 Information We Collect
a) Account information
When you register or log in, we collect your name, email address and/or mobile number, and an optional profile photo.
b) Learning activity
We store your quiz attempts, scores, test history, daily-practice progress, rankings on the leaderboard, and premium/free content access status, so the app can show your progress and results.
c) Payment information
Premium purchases are processed securely by Razorpay. We never see, collect or store your card number, UPI PIN, CVV or banking details. We only receive a payment confirmation/transaction ID from Razorpay to unlock your premium access.
d) Device & technical data
We may automatically collect basic technical details such as device model, operating-system version, app version, IP address and crash logs, used only to keep the app working properly.
2 How We Use Your Information
- • Create and manage your account and login sessions.
- • Save your practice history, scores, journey progress and streaks.
- • Show rankings on the Solve & Earn leaderboard.
- • Verify purchases and unlock premium content you have paid for.
- • Respond to your support requests and send important service updates.
- • Improve questions, tricks and app performance, and prevent fraud or misuse.
3 How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with:
- • Razorpay — to process your premium purchases securely.
- • Hosting / infrastructure providers — to run our servers (tunnl.co.in).
- • Legal authorities — only when required by applicable law or to protect our rights and users.
4 Data Security
All communication between the app and our servers uses industry-standard HTTPS encryption. Passwords are stored in hashed form and payments are handled entirely by PCI-DSS compliant Razorpay. While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
5 Data Retention
We keep your account and learning data for as long as your account is active, so your progress, scores and purchases remain available to you. If you delete your account (or request deletion), we remove or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records for legal, tax or fraud-prevention purposes.
6 Your Rights & Choices
- • Access & update — view or edit your profile details inside the app.
- • Delete account — request permanent deletion of your account and personal data by emailing us.
- • Opt out of notifications — turn off non-essential notifications in your device settings.
- • Questions — contact us any time about your data (see Section 9).
7 Children's Privacy
Tunnl is an educational app intended for exam aspirants. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
